WHAT A NIGHT, IT'S LIKE THE UNITED NATIONS, WE WERE SAT WITH A COUPLE FROM MANCHESTER AND A COUPLE FROM CONNETTICUT, NONE OF US HAD EVER MET BEFORE AND WILL PROBABLY NEVER MEET AGAIN WE WERE BEST OF FRIENDS FOR THE 2-3 HOURS THAT WE WERE THERE, I GOT UP AND STARTED SINGING NEIL DIAMOND SONGS AND WITHIN SECONDS THE WHOLE PUB WAS UP AND SINGING AND DANCING, WE RAISED THE ROOF !!! PEOPLE WERE LOOKING THROUGH THE OPEN WINDOWS AND JOINING IN OUTSIDE IT WAS FABULOUS I WILL NEVER FORGET AS LONG AS I LIVE. BUT THAT'S WHAT THE OLD SAILOR IS ALL ABOUT...

Love this place. The staff are really welcoming and a good laugh. Brilliant place to site and people watch and get a real idea of what goes on in Amsterdam. We will definitely be back again.

They dont have a menu so u dont know about the rates. Decent music better than other places. No titbits. Location is good.

Must visit this pub. Great atmosphere good choice of drinks staff are polite and professional, excellent place to visit. Football on TV, music is on and good views depending where you look 😳😂. Definitely recommend that you visit here even if you only have 5 hours in Amsterdam.

Visited this area for the first time, the bartender KEN was incredible! Gave us lots of useful information on where to go, was great to our group! The beer was awesome, shots were fun and can’t wait to someday to back, GREAT EXPERIENCE! MADE OUR TRIP!

Cool pub with a maritime theme. A place to have a pint and watch the world go by in Amsterdam's red light district. Expensive and really packed, however.

Sailed out to spend time in Amsterdam, we always call in to have a drink or two and soak up the atmosphere.

Nice pub, great service and great bartenders. Bathrooms are gross but free, I've seen worse in this area. Sports playing on the TV and nice atmosphere.

Great pub for some beers in daytime as well as at night. Good music. Nice bartenders. Only thing that is negative is that the place is small, as well as the bathroom

Can't really remember a lot of the night I was in there but as my intention was to go in and do exactly that I guess its good! from what I can remember the atmosphere was great with lots of singing and the bar staff where really friendly to us even though the majority of the people drinking in there were locals. Still can't believe the toilet is still a hole in the ground though!!

Itsa really cool bar in a nice location in the red light district. They have a variety of music from classic songs to modern hits. They also play sports games. There is a good beer selection. The bathrooms are a little odd and it can get super packed.

Authentic spot in Amsterdam right in the Red Light District. Great for a half pint of Amstel and some people watching. Get a spot outside at dusk for optimal people watching.

An absolutely cracking old fashioned bar. Well worth an afternoon.

Such a cool place to relax for a bit and get something to drink. The bartender is soo welcoming and the greatest I have ever met.Definitely worth a visit!

One of the oldest bars in the RLD. Busy place that tourists and locals frequent alike. Busy weekend evenings.

Really busy bar and with good reason it serves one of the best pints of beer in amsterdam. For me the problem is the toilet. There is only one, a hole in the ground and no matter what time of day there is always a que outside it.

Surely, is a nice place to chill out!Great beer and snacks, loud chatting around, interesting view of the "red light district"... Well, isn't realy an "adult place" only, but yes, recomended for single people, tourists, but not really for kids, which is kind of obvious, i think...Gezondheid!

Fun place. Great bartenders. Terrible restroom...advise holding it.

My favourite pub in all of Amsterdam, location, atmosphere and the old feel about the place is lovely. Seating is limited but I don't mind standing. Only downfall is the the Gary glitter as there isn't one and you have to take a wee in a big sink you stand in and soak your brothel sneakers.

THE toilet is awful but otherwise it's good place to drink

Extremely friendly bar. As Americans, we had a lot of good times and we were able to communicate with staff without issue. The bartenders were fun, engaging and just fun to be around. This is one of the best bars in Amsterdam to attend. Make sure you stop by and say hello to Richard...whom like most bartenders loves tips. :). The environment is great and it's truly a representation of what the Netherlands are.

Honestly an amazing place, the bartenders were so nice and chatty, really fun. Great atmosphere, would def love to go there again.
